Oma Dianne has some of the best recipes! When she decided to move from her home into assisted living she allowed me to have her recipe cards. I have not made all of them but I can almost guarantee they are the best. Just like you and your soon to be little brother. I love you dearly.

Ingredients

• 2 sticks butter
• ½ cup crisco
• 3 cup white sugar
• ¼ tsp salt
• 5 large eggs
• 3 cups flour
• 1 cup milk
• 2 Tbs Vanilla Butter and Nut Flavoring (McCormick)
• ½ cup chopped walnuts
• 1 cup chopped and drained maraschino cherries

Preparation

• Mix all ingredients in stand mixer
• Start in a cold over 325 degrees and bake for 1 hr and 45 min
