Oma's Cheesecake Cookies

Every year since I met your Oma Dianne I have been obsessed with her cheesecake cookies. They are my favorite thing on Christmas morning. Oma Dianne started making for any important gathering because she knew I would be so happy to have them. I hope that they bring you joy and if they don’t then please make them with love for others.I love you dearly.

Ingredients (crust)
- ¼ cup butter
- ⅓ cup firmly packed brown sugar
- 1 cup flour
- ½ cup chopped pecans
- ¼ cup currant jelly
Ingredients (filling)
- 1 8oz package cream cheese
- 1 egg
- ¼ cup sugar
- 2 Tbs milk
- 2 Tbs lemon juice
- ½ tsp vanilla extract
Preparation

Preheat oven at 350

For the crust:
- Cream butter, brown sugar and flour in blender
- Stir in pecans (reserve ½ c of this mixture for the topping)
- Press remainder into bottom of and 8 in square baking pan
- Bake at 350 degrees for 15 min
- Cool, and when cooled spread with jelly

For the filling:
- Cream the cream cheese and sugar
- Beat in egg and milk
- Slowly add in lemon juice and vanilla extract
- Pour over bott and sprinkle with the reserved topping mixture
- Bake for 30 min
- Cool and cut
